Located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, a region where the Christmas tree is king, ALTITUDE 500 has been developing its business for more than 20 years, and is now one of the largest tree nurseries and producers of Belgian and European Christmas trees.

Several years ago, ALTITUDE 500 decided to diversify its production in order to offer the market a whole series of top-of-the-range plants for use as Christmas trees. ALTITUDE 500 is also heavily involved in research programmes and has selected a series of elite Christmas trees for production. Propagation of these plants has allowed us to obtain entirely homogenous and extremely high-quality products which meet the demands of today's market.

This means we are able to offer you top-of-the-range Norway spruce (sold under the VERITABLE label) and needle-retaining trees, such as the Nordmann fir, noble fir and Fraser fir.

Each year, almost 400 hectares of land are dedicated to Christmas tree production and intensively cared for by our professionals. This allows us to send more than 400,000 trees to every corner of Europe each year in dedicated lorries or consolidated cargoes. In less than 10 years, our range of products has expanded to include other species; our specialities now include Abies nordmann, Abies fraseri, Abies koreana, Picea pungens and Picea omorika.

New products are also now available, such as trees grown directly in containers. Much progress has also been made in terms of packaging and logistics. Trees can be delivered loose, on palettes, in box palettes or via CC trolley, with a customised and gencoded label, and their own netting. These trees can always be supplied with their root ball, in containers or growing containers.

The strategic position of the company at the heart of Europe allows us to supply the international market efficiently and at highly competitive prices, in particular our French neighbours who represent 60% of our customer base, as well as England and Italy.

The vertical integration of production (from seed to marketable tree) makes us a highly suitable contact in any large market. Our qualified teams (more than 100 people in the season) allow us to meet all types of demand with minimum delivery times to satisfy our customers.
